Great for drying in our living room.Originally bought to have an area to dry the pool towels when my kids came to visit, with the remembrance of the one my mom had in the 60’s (which I used well into the 70’s when I first moved into my own place.) I figured when they left I could use to dry the throw rugs for you never have a place to do so and don’t want to put thru the dryer. The towel drying is OK and since it is bamboo can use or stay outside.Not nearly as tall as that old one by any means which was a surprise, but that is OK. The old one was vinyl over wood and tended to shrink and fall apart over time especially as was near the heater to dry things in San Francisco. This is lovely bamboo, well finished and is satin smooth. I love the touch!!Assembles very easily, just unfold and hook. Watch it though if you move it for it unhooks just as easily! Stores super neat taking little room.Works great for the rugs, even the larger ones, at least a 3’ x 5’ holds very well across the top or two smaller. Have done some on the top and more on the lower rungs.I have now left it up in the nook of the laundry room and hand my extra hangers in the middle range….they angle a bit but boy can you hang a lot and not in the way. Soooo easy to grab as I pull things out of the dryer! I love my little station. Now my many hangers, which are ALWAYS a mess, are tidy, nearby and I can still put the rugs on top when I need. I also use the top as a bit of a folding area too as the height is comfortable.Oh yeah….Since I have left it up I have used some twist ties on the hooks so it stays more secure just in case I move it and all my hangers go…Would highly recommend!I bought this household essentials 6524 clothes drying rack, bamboo, WAY BACK IN 2011. STILL USING because it was preassembled. I am a klutz, and always have problems trying to assemble stuff. I read some of the reviews that noted it seemed flimsy.Despite this I had to have this product. Yes, it does wobble a bit, and does not seem too sturdy, but I have hung soaking wet wash on all the rungs many times since purchase, and it is still standing. I have put dripping wet whites on it and color from the product did not rub off on them. It is mercifully easy to use and will fit inside a standard bath tub. I handle it carefully, making sure it is not slanted to ensure stability. I ponder if I had bleached my whites if that would have affected the color of the product coming off on the whites. I will up date this should I bleach my whites, and report any problems with color rub off.I bought bamboo, because previous drying racks were made of metal and they all either rusted or stained my clothing over time. Update: My whites were too dingy and I had to wash them with bleach. I hung the dripping wet whites over the rungs of the dryer, and wondered if they would be stained after drying. They dried without a stain of any kind. Some have noted stains on their clothes, but I have not seen this problem. The wood of this product is just natural and rubbed to a smooth natural shine. I appreciate not having to bother to wring things out, and just hang them to drip dry. It opens and closes without any problem. It is obviously more sturdy then it looks, and I hope to keep it for a long time. It folds up easily and compact-easy to store.Update, here it is a year later, and the product is still as good as new. I have put lots of dripping wet clothes on it to the full, many a time, and the thing just keeps working. It was money well spent, and the product has not worn out, dried out, or fallen apart in any way. It was money well spent, and I hope to keep using the product for a long time to come.I found this product to be perfect, because the other one is getting old. I didn't realize that it was going to be delivered by UPS. Oh the horror! missed them 2x. on the 3rd visit I rec'vd the box. I will be more careful and READ and how they deliver the "large items" to Hawaii. and I live in a secured condo building. I would highly recommend, if it weren’t for the new price tag of $109.I have used this dryer rack for a while now. The 'pin' has come out of the bottom but can easily be re-inserted. Not meant for heavy towels, etc., but for a light wash it holds a number of pieces and it's a handy rack to have if one does not want to use the dryer for certain clothing (lingerie, delicates, wools or silk). A bit shaky if too much clouting is racked up which is why it's better suited for lighter clothing.Item arrived quickly but I am not happy with it. Flimsy and it broke after only a few weeks. It was not through misuse of the item as I only used it for light laundry ( underwear, bras, socks - nothing big or heavy) - I hang sheets, towels, etc on our main clothes line. I bought this clothes rack for small items. The bottom peg in the leg broke, badly built rack. Too bad as I love to hang laundry outside.
