The back is totally open so I put a white onesie under it and it looked so cute! She is currently in 6-9 month carters brand onesies; bought the 6-12 month size and fit her perfect! if needed it could possibly fit looser if your baby has a long torso since it is a halter you can change the length of it.Don't hesitate! This is the cutest little turkey outfit ever. We are expecting our first baby girl in September, so we ordered this for her to wear to her first thanks giving.
